Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I would like to take a moment not only to introduce myself but to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

I joined the department in 2001 as a way to help the community that I have called home for now over 26 years.  Not only have I been able to assist the community, but I have had the pleasure of meeting and learning from many residents of Clifton Springs and look forward to meeting many more.  I have moved through the ranks through my years at CSFD and am now proud to be the Fire Chief. Not only is it a great honor to be elected Chief by the members of the department but it is a tremendous honor to be the first female Fire Chief of Clifton Springs.

In 2014, we were able to purchase a new Rescue Pumper, we were also able to begin the process of replacing turnout gear.  All of this is because of the generous support we receive from the community.  We were able to secure a grant to purchase a Special Operations Trailer that will hold our water rescue gear, fire investigation tools, rope rescue, and also be a mobile rehab for our firefighters on prolonged scenes.

On behalf of the Clifton Springs Fire Department I would like to encourage any one of you who may have questions, comments, concerns, or the urge to serve to please come down and visit with us on any Monday night, or any time you see members at the station.   Our members train hard to keep up to date with techniques, technology, and continued basic skills training in order to serve our community to the best of our ability. Many hours go into training, responding to calls for help, and maintaining the equipment and station and we have great pride in every thing that we do.

If you would like up to date information please like us on Facebook, or continue to check this website. We look forward to seeing you all at events within the Village and hope you will come visit us at the fire house.

Best Regards,

Amanda Spence
