The Clifton Springs Fire Department want to take a moment to share a new addition to our fleet of apparatus.
Over the past 8 months, the truck committee has been diligently working on the replacement of our current 1993 Pierce ladder truck 581.
On Tuesday Oct 29th, We accepted delivery of a 2012 Pierce Velocity 100' aerial platform. This truck being almost 20 years newer, has many more safety features, faster hydraulics, and a 400 gallon water tank.
You may have seen the new truck around town the past few weeks. Members have been working hard on completing driver training and also equipment mounting to get the truck ready for service.
We would like to thank The Village of Clifton Springs Board and the citizens of our fire district for the continued support of our Volunteer fire department.
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00 a.m. Don’t forget to set your clocks back 1 hour. The Clifton Springs Fire Department advises everyone to use the time change as a reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms. And remember: if your smoke alarm is 10 years old or older, it’s time for a new one! Working smoke alarms save lives and property!
Have you considered a Knoxbox Key system for your business or organization? Want to help the fire department respond to your facility with easy but secure access?

In NYS, flashing blue lights displayed (with no red flashing lights) on a vehicle indicates a volunteer firefighter is is responding to a 911 call in their personal vehicle. They are responding to the firehouse, or to the scene to provide assistance. Read More...
